Other retailers and affiliate networks

Right now Amazon is the only affiliate program we link to. We may apply to other programs, such as bee-gear sellers, seed sellers or honey shops. If we're approved and start using their links, we'll update this page and keep a disclosure line at the top of every page.

Where a page mentions a maker or seller by name without a link, it's a plain mention and we earn nothing from it.

How commissions affect what we write

Commissions can influence which stores we link to, because we can only earn from stores with a working program. They don't change the facts on a page: those come from the extension services, government pages and makers we cite.
We don't accept payment to say a product is good, and we don't publish rankings, prices, star ratings or testimonials.
If a purchase is returned or canceled, we usually aren't paid for it.
Pages about sting allergies, local beekeeping rules, safety and the music video have no affiliate links.
